Kodie Maree and Kylie Moss are Left of Center.

It doesn't matter if they are singing as a duo or in front of a band, together they perform for their audience a night of various country styles ranging from traditional bluegrass through to country rock that leaves their audience wanting more long after they have left the stage.

Kodie and Kylie are both accomplished songwriters with several song writing awards to their name. The girls have also received several performance awards in some of the biggest competitions around Australia including the Gympie Music Muster, Urban Country and the Telstra Road to Tamworth. Kylie reached the final 5 in the 2009 songwriters section of the Tiaras.

Many people have been an influence on their music but their biggest inspiration comes from alternative songwriters such as Patty Griffin, Steve Earle, Chris Knight, Kasey Chambers, Buddy and Julie Miller, Townes Van Zandt, Merle Haggard, Fred Eaglesmith, Kim Richey and Ryan Adams to name a few.

Recently the girls put their song writing talents to work and recorded an EP titled Sitting Pretty. The title track of the EP recently made it to no. 6 in the Australian Country Music top 20 on Brisbane's 98.9fm radio station. The girls have just released a film clip for Bluebird Wine, another track off their EP, which is currently being played on The Country Music Channel.

Hard work and a dedication to their music has allowed the girls to make a name for themselves with their gigs ranging from as far north as Mt. Isa to as far south as Levuka 4x4 Park in northern NSW. The girls have also travelled across the Tasman to New Zealand, where they have performed at the Bay of Islands Country Rock Festival for the past 4 years. They have also performed together at the 2008 Mud Bulls and Music, 2009 Urban Country Festival and the 2009 Tamworth Festival.

Left of Center, with their haunting harmonies and their country rock attitude are a duo well worth your attention.
